Welcome Baby Emma

I know this was due 5 months ago, but hey, I guess better now than never.  On October 29th 2012 we welcomed baby Emma Larue into our family.  She weighed in at 6lbs 2 ounces.  She has been such a joy in our family.  She is so sweet and hardly cries or even makes a peep.  She will pretty much smile at anything or anyone, she loves people, but be careful...don't stare too long or she might cry.  I call her my little jumping bean because ever since she was born she has jumped at any little noise or movement.  It has taken Ellie a little while to get used to Emma, but now that they can somewhat interact, she is always wondering where Emma is and trying to wake her up from her naps to come play with her.  It was an adjustment, but we love having two kids and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Ellie now has a new fascination with baby toys, of course only because Emma wants them

 Emma loves her big sister
Classic Emma worried face.  This is probably how she looks 50 percent of the time
 She loves her hands
 Lots of giggling now

Catch Up

We have been having fun in the nice weather lately, especially Ellie.  Ryan has made sure that she has plenty of time playing with the soccer ball, he is trying to teach her to kick it but she mostly just tries to step on it.
Ellie has not yet reached the age of two and she got her first black eye!  She tripped and landed on the TV stand.  She didn't complain much, but it sure did not look very good.  This is the best picture I could get.
Ellie is hilarious because she loves to sit in anything she can find including bowls, boxes, containers, and in this case, our hanging basket.  (she thinks it's pretty cool)
Another thing about Ellie is how much she loves books.  I often find her sitting in her room with a book on her lap or at least carrying one around.
Things are going really well and we can't wait for what lies ahead of us this summer!!

Happy Halloween!!

Ellie is an angel this year for Halloween, but unfortunately she will not keep her costume on for more than 30 seconds so I didn't get very good pictures :)

Our Balcony Garden!

I decided to plant a mini garden on our balcony this spring to have a little something extra to do and I have loved it! The plants aren't as happy as they can be because they don't have a lot of room or sunlight, but they are doing better than I thought :). Ellie likes the garden more than me even. Every time I go out there to water them she races to the door and straight to the carrots. I don't think I will get much from the plants, but we will enjoy what we get!
