South Dakota and More!!
Ryan and I have had a lot of fun in Denver and I have to admit it was very nice to have almost no responsibility these last few months. Sorry I have so many pictures, but I couldn't leave any of them out! Last night Ryan and I went to the Denver botanic gardens and they were beautiful, they had these little cardboard cutouts where we pretended we were being eaten by a t-rex. We will be leaving this Friday and I am sad because we just had new neighbors move in the same building and they are awesome, but I am way excited for Arizona. It may be hot, but our apartment will be a ton nicer and it will have AC. (and no mice). We are excited because Ryan got an accounting TA job at ASU that dropped our tuition about $14,000 from the previous amount, that's a load off our chests :). I have been looking for a job and hopefully I will find something soon!
This picture is crazy, it looks like Ryan is climbing a 90 degree wall, but is is actually like 45 degree, but I tried to make it look intense and I think it turned out pretty well :)
Here we are hiking in Boulder by the flatirons.
Oh man, here is the jackalope at the Wall drugstore in Wall, South Dakota. How can you resist taking a picture in this!
This is Kristen when we were in one of the caves, we got to go hundreds of feet underground, it was pretty cold!
Sylvan lake was amazing, the rocks are just gorgeous and the clouds made it perfect! :)
Feeding the burrows!
My family came to visit Ryan and I at the end of July and since I have little to do here I decided to go on the rest of their trip with them to South Dakota. It was a lot of fun, we went to Mount Rushmore, toured crystal caves, went to a beautiful lake (which we later found out was the same place they filmed National Treasure 2) and a lot of other fun things. We also got to go to Martin's cove and pull the handcarts about 6 miles in the heat of the day, luckily it was overcast or I think we would have died of heat exhaustion! It was a really good experience and probably my favorite place we went to on the trip, there was just such a good feeling there.
