Happy Halloween!!

Ellie is an angel this year for Halloween, but unfortunately she will not keep her costume on for more than 30 seconds so I didn't get very good pictures :)

Our Balcony Garden!

I decided to plant a mini garden on our balcony this spring to have a little something extra to do and I have loved it! The plants aren't as happy as they can be because they don't have a lot of room or sunlight, but they are doing better than I thought :). Ellie likes the garden more than me even. Every time I go out there to water them she races to the door and straight to the carrots. I don't think I will get much from the plants, but we will enjoy what we get!

Summertime!!

This summer has been full of fun times. Ellie absolutely loves to go outside. She already loves plants and anything that she can put in her mouth! She discovered sand for the first time this weekend and she was a little perplexed by it. We biked in to Cherry Creek Reservoir and discovered there was a little beach there. Next time we will bring our swimsuits so we can actually go all the way into the water. Ellie loved the waves and would squeal when they came toward her. We love going to the pool, the park, the library and the grocery store and that keeps us pretty busy.

We have been hiking a couple times and Ellie loves being in her little hiking pack.

I found these cute Vans at a garage sale, but she hates it when I put them on her. :(
We gave up baby food a while ago because she hates it, she has to feed herself and is a lot more interested in what we are eating.
We went up to our aunt and uncle's cabin over the fourth of July weekend and had a ton of fun just relaxing and enjoying the mountain air
Ellie is biting everything now since her top teeth have come in and I caught her doing this the other day :)

Hoorah for Family!

Last week my parents and little brother came into town and we had a lot of fun. They were here for almost a week and we enjoyed every minute of it. There isn't a ton of exciting things to do in Denver when the weather isn't grand, but we found stuff to do. The guys played a lot of pool of course, Ryan certainly enjoyed that. We went mini-golfing, bowling, saw Tangled (which is so cute by the way!), went to an IMAX movie at the Nature and Science Museum, went to the temple and did a lot of shopping. :) Ellie had so much fun with Grandpa and Grandma and I got a good break from her. I am so glad they were able to travel so far to come and be with us, Thanks Mom and Dad!!
Talk about chunky bracelets!!
Ellie has fun scooting across the room backwards. This time she seems to have maneuvered herself into quite a tight spot! She gets more and more fun everyday. We love being parents!

All bundled up!

Winter in Denver is amazing! I love that we still get the cold weather but it is not the cold that hurts and seeps in. It has been up in the sixties this week and we have been enjoying every minute of it! Too bad Ryan isn't here to enjoy it with us, but he will be home soon! It is such a blessing to have a hard working husband, thanks Ryan!

My Little Grump

Little Ellie has been a grump lately, maybe she's teething or going through some little phase, but despite the whines and cries she is still so much fun and changing more everyday. She loves her feet, rolls all over the floor and is so close to sitting up on her own. She is exploring new sounds and of course screaming and yelling.
She loves to see what mom is doing and be in the middle of it, in this case the laundry...
She loves to spend time with her daddy even though he has been in and out of town and working til at least 10:30 at night . We are waiting for busy season to be over so we can see him more!

Catch-Up

I have a lot of catching up to do. Time just seems to fly by and before I know it it has been almost 2 months since I posted! We are doing great and loving every new thing that Ellie does. It is the beginning of busy season so Ellie and I hardly see Ryan, but we are just thankful for the weekends. We got a calling to teach the 10 and 11 year-olds in Primary and we love it. Ryan is working on taking the last section of the CPA exam and we are so excited for him to be done soon. I posted a lot of pictures to catch up a little. Here are some of the new things that Ellie has been doing since I last posted:

-Laughing at the most random things, especially lights
-Patting and scratching everything with her hand to see if it makes a noise, especially me :)
-She now weighs probably about 13 pounds and she turns 5 months on Saturday
-She loves to roll from her back to her stomach, but is not very good at getting back
-Blowing bubbles
-Squealing like a little pig
-We are super lucky because she sleeps all night from 8:30 to 7:30
-She loves to be tickled on her side
-She is the biggest wiggly worm when I am trying to feed her bottle to her (annoying!)

She loves to play with her toys, which is superb because it gives me time to get things done.

Most of all, Ellie loves books!!

Christmas was so much fun this year despite Ellie having croup for Kristen's wedding and getting the flu on Christmas day. Kristen and Jeremy's wedding was beautiful and it was so good to see extended family. It is so fun to keep adding to our family and we are excited that Jeremy is in our family now. We also got to meet sweet little Paige. She is absolutely adorable and I am so excited that her and Ellie are so close in age. Although it is amazing how much difference 3 months makes at this time in their lives. Ellie looks huge compared to her!
Cade had fun pushing Ellie in the play stroller, but it doesn't look like Ellie is having much fun :)
Thanks for stopping by!
