Ellie's Crib

We are excited because last week we got Ellie's crib set up. It was so fun to set up her room and Ellie loves staring at the bumpers and all the different shapes. We have started trying to get Ellie on more of a schedule for sleep and it has been hard to let her cry herself to sleep sometimes, but it will be worth it in the end.

Yay for Garage Sales!

So my eyes have been open to the wonderful world of garage sales. I got this bumbo at a garage sale for 3 dollars and it came with the tray too! I have been wanting to get one for Ellie, but they are about 35 dollars in the store and the lowest I have seen it on CraigsList was for about 20. It is so exciting when you can find good deals on things that you were planning on buying eventually anyway.
Being with Ellie gets more exciting every day. She has been a little sick lately and it has actually helped her to learn how to yell. It is pretty funny: she will do this this little cough and yell at the same time. She loves story time and loves it when I sing anything. She is starting to hold her head up so much better every day and last of all she loves to lounge when she sleeps.
Gotta love those winter clothes :)

Colorado

Here we are in Colorado, finally in an apartment and excited to be settled down for a while. Ryan started his job last week and is liking it so far. I can't believe how fast Ellie is changing every week. She has started smiling every once in a while so I have been trying to catch it on the camera, so here are a few attempts. She has her grumpy times, but overall she is a pretty good baby. It is certainly a new adventure and we are loving every new little thing that she does. Hopefully now I will be better at posting :)

Meet Baby Ellie...

On August 29, 2010 at 10:22PM (22:22) Kimberly pushed out our beautiful daughter Ellie Mae. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 8 oz. (Sorry to those family members who were told a different weight, we were misinformed) and 19.5 inches long. The above picture is from today, August 30, and she is staring at us (I hope lovingly).

There she is with her dad. He's in for a real treat.

There is Ellie Mae meeting her mother for the first time. It was an extremely sweet moment.

The Dreaded Heartburn

I had my first onset of heartburn last night and I can say that it wasn't the most pleasant experience. It was awful and kept me up all night burning my throat. The two pieces of greasy, yummy pizza I ate beforehand probably did not help. How sad is that, I cannot bear the thought of no pizza for the next four months, but I am not sure I want that heartburn either. Grr. Sorry for the complaint post, other than the heartburn everything is going so well. I only have til next Friday for work and then we will be set for Idaho in June!!

It's a GIRL!!

Wow, we are so excited to be having a little girl! It has made things so much more real to me knowing that our baby is a girl. Thanks to my mom, we already have like 8 pieces of clothing for her, with much more to come I am sure. The ultrasound doctor says that everything with the baby looks great, which is so comforting. She is just a little on the small side, but my mom and sister both had small babies so I hope that is all. One thing really scared me that the doctor said. They found some indication in my placenta blood flow that shows that I have a 1 in 3 chance of having high blood pressure later on. I was pretty upset about it the day we found out, but I feel a lot better about it now. At least everything is good with her now and they are just going to keep a closer eye on me and I get another ultrasound at 26 weeks to check on her. I hope things keep going well, I still haven't gained five pounds yet, but now I am eating more now so I hope I can catch up. I have been feeling her kick so much more lately and I love it! Getting all the little nudges all day is a wonderful reminder and makes me more excited to meet her, I am now 20 weeks, halfway!!
My family came the last week of March and it was so good to see them! We mostly just relaxed, enjoyed the weather, and ate good food, but we did go to the zoo and it was fun to see all the animals. My parents and Michael were able to do some biking and frisbee golfing in the beautiful weather, but reluctantly had to go back to cold and wind. The Easter pageant was also going on at the Mesa temple so we were able to go to that later in the week. I love the temple here, there are so many flowers and it is pretty unique. It is already getting hot down here, I hope we are able to move to Idaho, because I don't think I could last the whole summer!

Goodbye nausea, Hello second trimester!!

So, I never posted that I am pregnant, so if you haven't heard yet, I am pregnant!!! I am due on August 29th and we cannot wait. :) I am 16 weeks now and loving the second trimester because my 24/7 nausea has eased up a ton and I have so much more energy . Luckily the nausea wasn't enough to keep me from working and doing other things, so although it was miserable, I guess I was lucky compared to other people. I still have to force myself to eat, but am looking forward to enjoying food again soon. We are super excited because we find out on April 1st if we are having a boy or girl, so stay tuned in and we will see! My parents and little brother are coming to visit for their spring break in a couple of weeks and I am so excited to see familiar faces!!

The Last Three Months!

Wow, I have been quite the Rebel lately with this thing so I decided to finally suck it up and post something, so I apologize if this is going to be too long, but what do you expect for 3 months of catch-up :). First I will start with Christmas, we were able to go to Idaho Falls for one week and then to Boise for a week as well. We had so much fun at both places and I wish it could have been longer. Here are some pictures of our Christmas break adventures:

Here we are in Boise out shooting guns, after being in Arizona it was freezing outside, but I shot a pop can on the ground and even one that was thrown in the air! Here are Melanie and Micth and Luke (Ryan's sister and nephews). Mel was a great shot and Mitch and Luke had fun shooting for the first time.
Yay! We were able to get together seven of the Osgood girls for a breakfast at Shallin's house (Thanks Jennifer!) while we were in Idaho Falls. It was so good to see everyone and catch up on everyone's lives. I love you all!! We were also able to get together with friends at Texas roadhouse and it was so good to see everyone, Thanks Maija-Liisa for putting that together!!

Yum Yum, We went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries over the break and it was delicious, both their fries and hamburgers were amazing! I definitely recommend it to anyone who is in need of a good burger.Cade enjoying the fry sauce rather than the fries.

Ryan and I haven't been up to much lately. I am still working and Ryan is almost done with his second trimester of his masters, so less than 4 months to go in Arizona. It has been so nice being here in the winter, never having to worry about driving in the snow or even turning our heater on (although our neighbors in the apartment below us do and I have no idea why because it is already 75 degrees in the apartment :S) Anyway, we have been exploring around and hiking to different places and trying to enjoy this great weather. It has been so fun to be somewhere new and different for a change. Thanks to everyone for making our Christmas break so wonderful. It was great to see so many people and all the fun we had!
